Renewal at Carat!

Carat Design, created by Samantha Vandersmissen, is a graphic design branch launched in May 2024 by Carat Info. It was founded to provide a more comprehensive service to its customers and to satisfy them in an additional area.

Its main objective is to use its originality and creativity to serve not only the parent company but all its customers.

A breath of fresh air

I'm Samantha, a graphic designer who graduated in Applied Arts - Advertising Section from HELHa in Mons in June 2021. After two years rich in experience, I've also started freelancing. I'm a rigorous person, very committed to my work and particularly organised.

A passion above all else

I chose this profession to express my creativity and share it with you, my future customers.
This passion, which I practise all day long, enables me to carry out your projects by combining high standards, fine detail, innovation and a modern vision. All these characteristics contribute to the process of creating a unique creation that reflects the values and image of your products.

The human contact and the opportunity to see the satisfaction on your faces are two things that are close to my heart. But it also allows me to get as close as possible to what you're looking for and the message you want to convey through your projects.

Evolving and learning new techniques, while keeping abreast of new trends and development processes, enables me to strengthen my vision and hone my skills so that I can put them to work for you.

The graphic design world is constantly changing, and that's the beauty of it. But that means keeping abreast of all the latest developments and continually adjusting the way you work.

Constantly evolving

Behind each
successful project,
there's a story.
Here's mine.

My experiences

Pranarôm International

I had the opportunity to work for a year to improve my skills in various areas such as designing packaging, order books and catalogues, as well as producing graphic elements for various media (displays, posters/windows, roll-ups, etc.).

Louis De Poortere

During the 6 months I spent working alongside them, I was assigned the task of producing a graphic charter and all the visuals to accompany the communication around the launch of a new product. From the logo to the development of the catalogue, including leaflets, folders, signs and illustrations, I was able to perfect my mastery of the Adobe suite.

I've also been asked on two occasions to do photo shoots, retouching and visuals for social networks.

Linguistics

I had the opportunity to go to Canada for 5 months with a language school to learn English, which I think is very important in my field. As well as learning English, it was a great human adventure during which I discovered a completely different culture. It also had an impact on my approach to graphic design, because it gave me a whole new vision of advertising.

Currently

After all these experiences, I set up my own business in 2024. This enabled me to broaden the range of services I could offer customers and to bring my experience and artistic touch to the table.
My priority is to be able to carry out projects with my own creative flair, while meeting all the client's criteria.
